Suggested First Steps

To help you get started, we’re delighted to share a few tips for a strong beginning.

And remember - we’re here to support you, so don’t hesitate to reach out at any time!

• If required, obtain the necessary approvals from your school, community centre, or other host venue to run your Hinksey Club. If one platform does not allow you to run the club, you are welcome to explore alternatives.
• Share your website information with us.
• Decide who will join you on the club committee, if at all - we can always update the website with this information later.
• Organise a fun recruitment event - or use any creative way you like to attract new members to your club - and make sure everyone registers through your Club website.
• Prepare a brief plan for your activities - we recommend using the “Suggested Club Plan,” but feel free to adjust it as works best for your club, and reach out if you’d like additional support in tailoring it to best suit your members.
• Kick things off with an amazing launch event to get everyone excited about your club!
• Don’t forget to share photos and videos with us where possible.
